Soft Matter Physics at GeorgetownWelcome to the lab |
|
We study the
mechanical properties of soft and biological materials
using externally applied shear forces and thermally driven
fluctuations. The goal of our work is to
elucidate the role that meso-scale structure plays on the macroscopic
physical characteristics of
soft materials.
Through rheology, three dimensional confocal microscopy, and a coupling of the two, we quantify characteristics of soft materials. We have recently moved into a beautiful new science building. Come visit us in Regents Hall 433. Please
